The count is built from the public agent directories of 16 brokerage brands operating in Massachusetts, led by Coldwell Banker, Keller Williams, Compass and Century 21. Brands that publish no directory, and independent brokerages outside those networks, are not counted, so the true number of working agents is higher than the figure on this page; the ranking of brokerages and cities is among the networks we can see.
